Engraved Nameplates

Our engraved nameplates are cut from UL-recognized Rowmark DurMark 2-ply acrylic - the industry standard for panel identification, disconnect ID, equipment tags, and safety warnings. The legend is laser-cut through the top ply to expose a contrasting core, so it will not fade, peel, or wipe off in a real plant environment.

Phenolic Labels

Phenolic was the industry standard for engraved industrial labels for decades. It engraves cleanly and holds up reasonably well indoors, but it's brittle, prone to cracking at the edges, and not rated for modern UL compliance requirements. If your drawings or specs call for phenolic nameplates or phenolic legend plates, we manufacture a direct replacement using Rowmark DurMark two ply acrylic that meets UL94-HB flame resistance standards, engraves with sharper detail, and handles the same industrial environments without the brittleness. Same look, better material, fully compliant.

Lamacoid Labels

Lamacoid is a brand name that became so common in the electrical industry that it's still used generically on drawings and specs today, much like how people say Kleenex instead of tissue. True Lamacoid is a specific engraving plastic that performs well but has limitations in UV exposed outdoor applications. Our Rowmark DurMark materials deliver everything Lamacoid was spec'd for high contrast engraving, chemical resistance, durable adhesive bonding , with superior UV stability rated for 10+ years. Traffolyte Labels

Traffolyte is a three ply engraving material widely used in the UK and Australia that became a recognized spec term in industrial and electrical applications worldwide. It's known for its durability and clean engraving characteristics. If you're seeing Traffolyte specified on drawings or working with international engineering standards, our Rowmark DurMark two ply acrylic is the domestic equivalent UL approved, chemically resistant, and capable of the fine detail engraving.
